WINDYHILL CLUB COMPETITIONS
Between April and October, there will be a Medal or Competition each Saturday. Members can make a Tee Booking from 7.30pm on the Friday 8 days before the Medal date.
There will also be a mid-week Medal, either on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
The online Calendar will show whether played from the Yellow or White Tees.
Some of the Medals played in early April and late October when the weather can be poor, will be fun competitions which do not count for handicap purposes – eg the Cha Cha Cha
THE CLARK TROPHY
This is made up of 12 of the Saturday Medals, with the best 6 scores determining the overall winner.
THE SPRING, SUMMER & AUTUMN MEETINGS
These are individual competitions but the best 2 scores out of 3 make up the Seasons Scratch & Seasons Handicap Cups
THE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
There are 3 qualifying rounds with the best 2 producing the top 7 qualifiers who, along with the championship holder, contest knockout rounds.
CAPTAIN’S DAY TROPHY
Played in early June.
THE ALISTAIR MACDONALD TROPHY [handicap] & ROSS CAMPBELL CUP [scratch]
This is for a club members and guest or 2 Windyhill members. It is usually a 4BBB format.
THE HOME GUARD CUP
This is a Stableford competition
THE BLAIR BEVERIDGE CUP
Also played in Stableford format.
THE CENTENARY TROPHY
This marks the over 100 years of Windyhill and is a 3 person Stableford.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
This is the Scratch Championship and has 3 qualifying rounds during May.
The best 2 rounds from 3 count and the 15 top qualifiers plus the reigning champion form a matchplay draw.
The matchplay rounds take place over a single week in early June with the Final being played over 36 holes.
FINLAY TROPHY
This is the Handicap Championship and has 3 qualifying rounds during May.
The best 2 rounds from 3 count and the 15 top qualifiers plus the reigning champion form a matchplay draw.

There are also 3 OPEN COMPETITIONS where golfers from other clubs can join Windyhill members in playing
